Today riots are raging all over America with the death of George Floyd. The state of emergency has been declared in the state of Minneapolis. According to C.N.N. reports, protests and riots have spread across New York. Hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets, protesting against the rules of lockdown, in particular, without a black or white difference. It seems Corona cannot defeat the global fight for independence.

These protests, based on the sluggishness of law enforcement on behalf of the unarmed Black Floyd, are taking a different shape on American politics. It is reported that the protesters have set fire to the Minneapolis police station. The notion that Floyd did not obey the police command, especially when the police say that he used the least amount of power, is furious because the video footage of the restaurant where the incident took place provides no such evidence.

Protesters directly state that Floyd has been unarmed and that the officer who held the neck and three other officers are responsible for the crime. For eight minutes, the white-collar policeman, unashamedly trampling Floyd’s neck, locked himself between the boot shoe and the tarmac, while Floyd pleaded it was difficult to breathe. That’s the immediate reason why Floyd died.

A large number of police officers are heading to Minneapolis and the number of protests are increasing. Political analysts point out that the United States is now becoming a burning cauldron instead of a melting pot of different identities.

The police are now being accused of misusing the powers of the police around the world during the lockdown. At the same time, even American right-wing media organizations that have advocated for Lockdown are taking a step back. Black singers stopped their television appearances in protest of this incident.

However, what is happening in the United States today is not a revolution to gain the state power. This is people’s uprising for the racial equality and social justice. The economic pressure and social injustice that have long been thrust upon oppressed masses are now beginning to manifest violently.

Even though few police officers have behaved harshly during the protest against the assassination of George Floyd, it is quite apparent the opposite is happening as the Genesee police chief joined the protestors putting down his helmet and armor as they chanted “walk with us” so he did. New Jersey police officers marched with them, expressing solidarity with the protest. Meanwhile, the agreement that police officers should not criticize one or the “silence of the blue wall,” is now publicly broken.

Many things are beginning to happen. Events can sometimes be much faster than we think. The struggle has begun at an unexpected moment. So it would not take much theoretical knowledge to realize that the corona is now a vicious mirror in the Old World.

After Corona, “New Normal is just another name for the police iron shoe on my neck.” Said one of the protesters
